  Dr. Sarah Hughes is a very caring and skilled internist. She practices both pediatric and geriatric medicine. I have recently begun taking my teenage daughter to see Dr. Hughes. It was difficult to find a physician in Raleigh that was not in a pediatric group practice, and I feel fortunate to have received a recommendation for this special team within Wake Internal Medicine. Dr. Hughes took a very detailed medical history, asked intelligent questions, actually listened to our responses, and spoke directly to my daughter. She created a safe and open atmosphere. Dr. Hughes and her outstanding medical assistant, Jen, have gone out of their way to assist us with making appointments with specialists. My daughter had her blood drawn at their on premise lab, and the phlebotomist (thank you spell check) was pleasant and kind. I was already so pleased and impressed, and then I received the lab reports in the mail with a detailed and personalized explanation and note from Jen and Dr. Hughes. I have never experienced such caring from any other M.D. - ever. I highly recommend Dr. Sarah Hughes.
