  Two and a half years ago we had a horrific experience at a foot and ankle doctor in Apex. My son was 11 at the time and was in extreme pain since he had waited a month before telling me how bad his ingrown toenail was. By the time the surgery was over, my poor kid practically had PTSD. The doctor was not kid friendly and made my son feel awful for being afraid of needles and the process of having minor surgery with minimal anesthesia. Two days ago my son came to me with another ingrown toenail (different toe) and said he could not get the infection to go down and it was really painful. Immediate dread filled both of us as we talked about having the procedure done again. We knew going to the old doctor was out of the question, so I looked on the internet for another foot/ankle doctor. Raleigh F&A was well rated so I decided to give them a call, explaining our previous experience and that we are self-pay. The receptionist was so sweet, but explained they did not have any appointments until the following week. I spoke to another lady and she agreed to take my number and call if there was a cancellation. An hour later she called back and said an appointment had opened up for the next morning. We jumped on it. I also spoke to a lady in finance and explained we are self pay and I could not pay the whole bill upon service. She said to keep the appointment and we would work it out. Upon arrival at our appointment, the kind lady at the front desk informed me that finance said they would be willing to accept $225 up fron and the remaining balnce within 45 days. THIS IS NOT THEIR NORMAL POLICY. Being self-pay, we have arrangements like this with several medical professionals and stictly honor our monthly payment commitments. To the actual appointment. Our nurse, Stephanie, assured us proir to Dr. Meyers arriving at our room that we would not have the same traumatic experience as we did with the other doctor. I was skeptically optimistic. My poor kid was a wreck. However, Dr. Meyers was amazing with my (now 13 year old) son. He was down to earth, amicable, told my son honestly what to expect, was respectful of where my son was coming from with regard to his fears, and encouraged him as he talked through the entire procedure. My son and I were utterly in shock at how smoothly the whole procedure went. In fact, my son could not stop thanking Stephanie and Dr. Meyers. We are both so incredibly greatful for the wonderful experience. I highly recommend Raleigh Foot & Ankle.

  My son had an ingrown toenail, and we were both a bit apprehensive (first experience at the podiatrist). Everyone from Debbie at check-in, to our nurse Bethany, to Dr. Woelffer tailored their approach so nicely for a great experience. They were warm, welcoming, and most importantly, highly efficient. We were out in under an hour, including the procedure to remove a portion of the nail - without a single tear shed! Prescriptions were called in immediately, and easy-to-follow care instructions given. The toe is healing nicely and we are both relieved. Thanks to the whole team for a great experience; I will readily recommend Raleigh Foot & Ankle to anyone needing this type of care.
